@twistedrenots yes I think it will make the kids scared to go to 🏫 and they wouldn't learn but friends of mine said they turned out fine I don't remember it when I was in 🏫

@terresa.nash I was in 5th grade last I remember it. I lived in Alabama and they still had paddlings. I never got one, I was terrified lol I moved to Virginia and finished my 5th grade school year and they didn't have paddlings there. Everyone was like, "what?? They spanked you there?!" Apparently it was odd.
