i need ways to figure out if im having labor contractions or really bad braxton hics

If you can't talk or walk through it, its most likely contractions. If its just really uncomfortable then you're fine.

i cant go to l&d because im home alone with my daughter and no car. shower didnt do anythig but make my stumic hurt more

Drink water, take a warm shower/bath, lay down, walk around
