@sabby, It can be exhausting and there are days where I just don’t feel like explaining but I need to remind myself that he doesn’t have the mental thought process that I do and doesn’t understand what no means yet so I need to do more of an explanation along with it. It was really fun to learn about that when I was in college. I have an early childhood development degree

Only saying no, and giving time outs and getting upset only shows them “bad” things and they only see their bad choice but have a hard time thinking of new nice things at this age 😁

Just testing their limits 👍🏻 it’s all new learning, I work on showing them good choices when they make bad ones... example: today at the park my son put his foot out to push another friend away... I said “that’s not nice! We need to make a good choice like giving a high five or fist bump to our friends.” My son gave him a fist bump and I made a VERY big deal and cheered for his good choice and said “WOW buddy!!!!! Great listening!!! That’s such a good choice!!!” They gave each other like 5 more fist bumps because they saw how happy and excited I got. It can be exhausting for me to be so animaned all the time but it sure works wonders for us 😍
