I did with my 2nd child. But of course they said no need to induce. Let baby come when ready

Most doctors will refuse unless there is a medical reason to do so otherwise. It may be worth asking, but unless it’s a c section, I don’t think there is much to be done besides being patient.

I did. Mine refused.

I asked my doctor last month and she said no, but my specialist the other day said that they most likely will based off my past pregnancy experience

Idk, I plan on asking Tuesday, if my blood is positive for ICP. I have a feeling they’ll still say no though 😒

@jayw, it’s because it’s like a medical law. If there is no legitimate reasoning they will not allow it before 40 weeks.

They can't (or shouldn't) It's really a liability issue. If you're having complications and they induce/do a c section early and something goes wrong they can justify their reasoning. If there's no medical reason and something goes wrong, their medical license is on the line. That's why malpractice insurance in that field is at an all time high.
