So when your toddler is acting bat shit crazy they aren't acting on logic but more so on impulse. They don't really know why the heck they are throwing a fit over being offered water. They just know something in those little brains is causing them a stir of emotions over it.

My daughter throws small fits for certain things I just figured it’s because she has all these little emotions she’s never dealt with before An that she’s just trying to figure them out and control them .
Most adults don’t understand how hard it is for kids and toddlers to control their emotions
Hell half of the adults I know don’t know how to control their damn emotions lol I barley know how on my good days it’s a hard thing to do !

@lost.sock.thief , I had no idea either. I was researching how to handle tantrums and came across it. You're right though, I have my days where I have tantrums too. Adults are quick to call the kids spoiled or bad but in reality the kid is just constantly adapting to something new.

@_sheriee, I’ve seen people yell at a kid for crying and say quit acting like that ect and it’s like do you expect them to stop crying like that ? If you were really upset and crying an someone was yelling in your face or yelling at all for you to stop pretty sure you wouldn’t.
I’ve seen adults scold kids about crying too much but them as adults when they get mad they slam shit around and break shit
Like you’d yell at your kid for that it’s not ok for you to act like that lol
Idk I think in lots of ways kids emotions need to be treated delicate like adults treat each other’s emotions
But at the same time you can’t baby their every emotion or they will be really whiny and stuff idk I’m real iffy lol
I guess I’ll see what it’s like when my daughter gets a little bigger

I'm not gonna sit here and lie. There was a point where I'd yell at my daughter when she would act out. I realized I was getting nowhere and her behavior was just getting worse. Once I started acknowledging her emotions she's been better. I try to let her have her cool off time instead of time out then give her time to come and talk to me. @lost.sock.thief
