Is it just me who's sceptical about marriage? I literally am the type of person who doesn't bother about marriage.…

Thank you for sharing ladies .. I know I want to be with my partner for life but I don't feel like I need to sign a contract to say that. A nice diamond ring would be lovely though 😉 x

I was married to my sons father but we got divorced as he was treating me badly and having affairs. He married me as he was massively in debt and being married he could put his debts in my name. I wasnt aware of this and it caused loads of problems when i found out. I am married now to my partner Ben. We got married because of course we love eachother but also because of my exes debt problems we couldn't put my name on the mortgage so if anything were to happen to my husband as his next of kin everything would go to me rather than his parents. Also as he isnt my sons father, if anything were to happen to me he would have full rights over my son. Its all a bit complicated! We didnt want a big fuss for our wedding. We literally went to the town hall with our parents and then went for dinner. I was 6 months pregnant at the time. On the other hand my brother and his partner have been together nearly 20 years with 3 beautiful children and a lovely house and have no intentions of getting married and arent even engaged.

I was always skeptical and always said I never would! My parents divorced when I was young so never really saw the point! Until it came to meeting my husband and having kids- he's more traditional than me and so getting married was important to him and I wanted the same surname as my children! Xx

Marriage was never on the top of my agenda list. I just wanted to meet someone, fall in love and have children. Although once I was pregnant with Morgan & my husband proposed I was so excited & couldn't wait to say I do & be married. Does it change the relationship? Not at all. The most important thing is that you both want the same thing. Whether that's to get married or not.

If you want to get married one day :) theres a.lifetime :) you dont have to rush into it :) My mums friends got married after being together 40 years :) 😊 I'm not at all skeptical about marriage :) Ioads of women want to get married..and will dump their partner if no proposal has happened etc. Which is silly :) I do wonder why some relationships break down after marriage though...its just a ring and paper...does it really change a relationship that much? Its odd :) but loads of marriages and even relationships work...theres going to be ups and downs..but if both of you can meet each other half way then things will be resolved. I left my daughters dad because he wasnt willing to help or support me in any way or be a dad or a good partner. I spent the best part of 2 years chasing him etc... In the end i wasnt happy or doing anything for myself so left him xx

I was engaged to my daughters dad for like.3.5 years. (Now ex) I didnt really see myself getting married and still dont :) Spoke to my current partner about it and he says we are still.young and its just a bit of paper at the end of the day...you can prove your love and comitment in other ways. He's already proved he is comitted by taking on my daughter. Not many men will get into a relationship with someone that has a child from a previous relationship. Unlike my last relationship...I am really happy! I trust him...theres no doubts..Its perfect really :) We have been friends about 7 years so that helps :) xxx

@daniellep5690 its not something you must do hon and if your happy and both think the same there is no need to change anything. There are so many break ups and divorces and broken families and it does make ypu question it. You just have to do whats right for you and your relationship as no bit of paper will make any difference. Thank you hon 😁 he is definately the 1 and I do not plan on doing it ever again XXX

@carrie.anne19845 that's so nice to hear someone say that. Myself and my OH have spoke about marriage but we both agree it's a piece of paper and anyone we know who has went through a divorce it's always been rather messy. I hope everything works out for you and your partner ❤

Everyone is different though and you dont need to get married to prove you love each other or to be a proper family. I dont think getting married is taken that seriously anymore and maybe rushed into more too XX

I have been together with my OH fpr 4 years but best friends for 10. We have Leah together who is nearly 8 months. We are engaged and are actually looking at venues and want to get married next year. I never thought I would as before I was in a bad relationship and did not think it would happen. I dont feel too worried because I have a lot of trust and believe in us 100%. Just looking forward to being Mrs Jackson 😁 never been more sure about anything XXXX
