Looking for mamas to chat about their birth experiences.

I wanted a natural, drug-free waterbirth. But because I was 2 weeks overdue and I wasn’t progressing (with natural and medical induction methods), I ended up with an epidural and c-section.

Still trying to process this emotionally, and would really love to talk to other women who have had similar experiences.

Something similar happened to me. I mean I did wanted the epidural lol but because I was so afraid but I still remember that day like yesterday my doctor came in and told me my sons heart was dropping a lot and if I tried to push him out he wouldn’t make it because the umbilical cord was around his neck 😔 and said you need to get a c-section right now!
And I remember crying like a baby because I was so scared, a friend of mine had just passed away from having a c-section and I was terrified. Everything happened so fast I felt drugged that I didn’t even get to see my son clearly and then he was sent to the nicu.
I have always felt I missed that part of having my baby the way it’s supposed to be you know. I mean I understand it was necessary to have my baby the way it happened but I never got to experience that whole normal birthing.

@_naturalnurtuter_, Were there any things that helped to cope with your experience?

@_naturalnurtuter_, My daughter is now two weeks old, and today I’ve been trying to process it more. I’m so happy she is alive and healthy, but it definitely didn’t go the way I had hoped

That was what happened to me. I was crushed and emotionally distraught but. After a few weeks I was able to come to terms that it was going to be okay because I had my baby boy with me and he was healthy and amazing. I cried the whole time they were wheeling me down to the operating room but. I was just thankful for a safe delivery.
