I was spanked. If she gets really outta hand I'll give her a good spanking. But I will never use a belt like my dad did. And never continuous spanking. A few good ones and that should be good enough in my opinion.
She gets 2 verbal warnings then a pop on the butt depending on what it is. Especially if she is hitting, she gets it back so she can see and feel that it's not nice. I maybe got one warning as a kid, but man! When I saw mom or dad go for the belt or wooden spoon, I knew I F***** up!
I try to avoid it, but most situations are different. She gets less than one spanking a week, most the time talking and giving her a warning works. She is 3.5 yo.
My parents never laid a hand on me and I was very well behaved. They disciplined with their words and also had amazing communication skills. I don't think I'd ever hit my baby. She learns from me and her daddy, how we react to situations and we will always use our words before resulting in hitting or yelling

I believe in a good butt whooping when needed. It's how I was raised. I turned out great in the long run lol
