What age did or will everyone put their little ones into nursery?

I work in a nursery and will b going back to work when Robyn is 8 months so she will b coming with me. I’m hoping to only take her 2 days a wk though and have family look after her the other time x

@loular16 I know you can get free hours when they are a certain age, it just seems so expensive x

When they r 3yrs u can get 30hrs free. I think u can also get some free when they r 2 but I’m not 100% sure on that. Yes it is expensive and can seem pointless in going back to work. Some benefits can also help u to pay for child care I think universal credit do. It’s something to maybe look into x

Erin went for 2 years she was 2 when started it was really good for her she learned things and they develop well when interacting with other children xxx

@jadeandscarlett it is expensive! Do you get help atm with the government ? They pay for child care costs around 70% of the fee I think. I'm sure u have to be working some hours xx

You get free hours if you claim benefits when the child turns 2 . I understand if people work and need the childcare then yeah put them in nursery but I don’t work or claim so my son won’t be going to nursery till he’s 3. He’s very clever and socialises with other children anyway. I really think the one on one time with me is so rewarding. I intend to do the same with my daughter xx

Morgan was 15months. Max was 8 almost 9months. Both times were because I went back to work. If I didn't I wouldn't have put them in until they were 3years.

Thoughs on low or no income get 2year funding at some nurseries.
