I don’t think so. 🤷🏼♀️ and I also think that each persons definition of “spoiling” is totally different. Like, my daughter is 2 and a half and has her own iPhone. I don’t think she’s spoiled, because it was just an old 7plus I had laying around, and she only uses it for Kids YouTube and games. I limit her time. But, some would say it’s crazy she has it, and that she’s spoiled. 🙄💕
@jennatess, my son loves Thomas the train and He has a lot of them and we don’t mind buying them from him because he literally plays with them All day and as long as he enjoys them I don’t see anything wrong with that. But today someone made me a comment saying that when you buy your kids too many things they turn out to be ungrateful and lazy because they grow up to not having to work for what they want. But I don’t think it’s true all the time like how that person was saying.
@ethanandkayleensmommy, if you’re giving in and buying him things every single time he asks for something no matter what it is then yes that’s bad but if it’s a specific thing like his trains then I think it’s fine. My son LOVES Mickey Mouse clubhouse so depending on whatever then yeah I’ll get him the Mickey Mouse clubhouse whatever it is.
@jennatess, my son has my old Samsung galaxy s5 phone it’s dead atm but he just plays with it and when it’s on he has his fish sensory game. I see NOTHING wrong with kids playing with OLD unconnected devices or buying special themed toys that they have a love for. Again if my son just starts asking for crap all the time and it isn’t something I KNOW he will he and play with and enjoy for a long time then no I won’t do it but it’s called being spoiled when a parent does that.
@ethanandkayleensmommy, I think you’re just fine, and that person is being a bit rude. Your son is 2! What can he actually “work for”? I personally think: they are only young once. Let them enjoy childhood! I’m the same way with my daughter and her dolls. Practically every time we go to he store, I get her a little Dollie. She’s only 2 and she’s not even realizing she’s getting something new all the time. She loves her dolls, so whatever! Hahaha.
Once a month, I go in her room and pick out 5ish old toys she doesn’t play with, and I put them in a donate box in the garage. And when she gets older, I will have her help me do this. 5 toys every once in a while that some other kid would love to have. This way, in her little mind, it becomes the norm. Give to get. 🤷🏼♀️

I buy my daughter most things she wants, I don’t think it’s spoiling and I think they’re too young to work for it
