Just a question, how many of your children's fathers actually take there children to there doctors…

My older kids dad has never been to a single one and theu r 11 and 15

@virgosweetness, I mean I guess it's more difficult for my sons dad as he lives far away but in advance you would think he'd want to be there my son has health issues. And he gives me a hard time about listening to what I tell him his doctors say sometimes. Like I'm lying and Making it up 😒

@mathismommas, see that's what I'm saying. I want him to be there for the important ones like my sons allergy appointments and gastric appointments as he needs to know to follow things to a T cause he doesn't listen to me very well and we get in fights about stuff all the time cause it's like he doesn't take me seriously and he's like yes I do it's like then fricking do what I tell you so or son doesn't suffer!

I have to brag because mines very attentive and tries to make every appointment but if he can’t he sends me with a list of questions for me to ask the dr and have answered and report back to him haha! He’s a very hands on daddy

My husband has only been to a handful and that’s including prenatals and my daughters doctors appointment, I guess it never really bothered me cus I know he’s very busy every day, there has been times during the day where I had to take my daughter to the hospital on my own not with a very serious emergency but still, I usually keep him updated but that’s it

Mine has been to every appointment even when I was pregnant with them 🤷🏼‍♀️

A few times when he is home. Most appointments are when my husband is working. But we discuss any questions we have before and then I call him after the appointment.

Ob appointments he was off the day I went with our first and unemployed for a little bit as well. So he was there but started a new job when my complications started. They were awesome about him leaving and taking unpaid time off. Our second, he's still at that employer. They ask all the time how things are with my pregnancy. Hubby took days off for gender; and was on vacation one week and went to and appointment. I had contractions yesterday and signs of preeclampsia yesterday. He called out and took me to my appointment I had with my ob scheduled. Everything is fine and he is off next week with my scheduled c section.

Ian Sr will take him to a sick appt on occasion because he gets off work earlier than me. He never goes to well appointments and he only went to one of my prenatal appts (it was when I had my 20 week ultrasound).

@missjess, different people have different “love languages” my dad for example NEVER did anything with me and never said I love you or anything but I always knew, even to this day, I’m his heart. Some men are just like that but hopefully he cares just doesn’t know how to show it because his dad never showed him and so on. I’d start small and ask if he has anything he wants to add to your questions list for the doctor, then ask when his availability is when making the appointment and finally just say you need the help bringing everything in and watching the kids. I go into the dr with so much stuff I need an extra set of arms just to carry the diaper bag haha! Good luck to y’all
