My mom did that with her third child. She was 42 though ...

I had the option with my last pregnancy but wasn’t asked until I’m in the operating room, so I told them no because I didn’t have time to think about it. Now I’m contemplating getting it done.

@blessedwithnumber4, any tips on a the c section itself or the aftermath with pain? I don’t do well with pain.

@xoxomamaof2xoxo, relax the first couple days. Don’t over do it. Take stool softeners, otherwise you will have bad cramps. Hold your incision when you cough or sneeze. Buy supportive underwear to wear after the first few days for at least a month, take the ibuprofen they give for pain/swelling. It helps a ton!

@xoxomamaof2xoxo, like these. They are spandex but offer more support than traditional underwear. They come in briefs or boy shorts or high waisted. I have a two pack from Walmart from the shapewear section that I plan on wearing over my normal panties while I’m still bleeding from having the baby.
