Yep. Im in Ohio too. No school for my kids either. But it's raining like crazy here. (Has been since yesterday) temp is gonna drop to 12 degrees here shortly, then another 5. It's gonna be bad here. It's the ice.

@tattooedmama_, we had freezing rain and then got four inches of snow yesterday and no school cancellations lol lord and it was 8 degrees...but if we cancelled for stuff like that it would be a lot

@moriahn.kennedy it's crazy here. They are saying a tenth of an inch in ice and then 4-6 inches in snow.

I watched my fiance go outside and stood by the door and I was like whyyy... they could've sent the kids home early if it got too bad... ours has already missed 4 days from them canceling school... and our degrees doesn't go down until tonight it goes from 56-35 degrees by like 2-3. I know Ohio weather always changes but this is just stupid. Lol

It's about 50 degrees here but by 3pm it's supposed to drop down to 25 and then just keep dropping.

@skylersmommy11916 ours is supposed to drop later in the day too. By night time it's supposed to be like -1 so when the temp drops ots going to go fast.

It was 50 last night but they cancelled school here for today because it's supposed to be transitioning from rain to a wintery mix around 12 making the roads very dangerous . 12 doesn't give them enough time for early release here in KY. IDK about Ohio 🤷.

But your kid isn't even in school so why does it matter 🤣

@ashleydunn well I have a step son who's actually in first grade. So that's why it matters to me. 12pm here would be over a half day for our kids as they get out at 330 . And it doesn't start to get bad here until 2. We had a quick rain and now it's gone. Temp is still the same.

For early release they have to start letting kids out by like 10 starting with highschool since they go first. So 12 may be fine for early release for elementary but it's not for high / middle school since they go earlier

@ashleydunn In Ohio at least our area if there's early release then everyone goes at the same time. Not one school before the other. The buses goes to high school then middle school and elementary than off to home for everyone at the same time.

You must live in a smaller town because we ain't got enough bus drivers for that and way too many kids to be fitting on one bus

We have multiple buses for all the different schools we have. 4-5 elementary schools, and 1 middle and high school. And certain buses for the Ida sue school too .

@kasonsmama all the kids have school here today... But it's also upstate NY so they don't usually close the schools down for anything. They had only one snow day so far.
