Hey ladies, how soon after having a vaginal delivery did you have sex with your boyfriend or husband? They said 4 to 6 weeks but I'm fine down there now. I'm not bleeding anymore or anything.. how long did you wait?

I had sex with a condom on after 2 weeks. I went really slow and it hurt to go too deep so uhhhh yeah i wouldn't recommend it.
I waited 8-10 weeks. I had a 3rd degree tear after an episiotomy, and a 10 lb baby after 42 hours of labor. Sex was the LAST thing on my mind, and when it did pop up I was like “HELL NO!” My husband is not small by any means. So frankly I was afraid of the pain.
@abreton666, He was 8-14 and 22in, with a big head, lol. He got stuck and the vacuum couldn’t even get him out. I wound up pushing him out somehow in 36 min
@lizibear84, seconded. You can get an infection and as previously mentioned, you are immensely fertile. I waited 8 weeks and the pain was so intense that I had to stop. Waited another month after that.
I would wait. At least until you get the okay from the doctor. The risks of infection and getting pregnant again so soon aren’t worth waiting a couple more weeks.
@lizibear84 Ugh that sucks, with my first baby I tore down there and needed stitches for my second and third I didn't tear it all so that's good

But you also run the risk of infection if you have sex too soon.
