Today i found out i maybe put on insulin has anyone ever been on it while pregnant?

I’m type 1 diabetic, so I’ve been on insulin since I was a kid. It’s a little different than gestational diabetes, but I’m happy to help if you need anything 😊

@mommytobeautifulbabies, it sucks, but I do have some tips. If you clean with an alcohol swab, make sure it dries all the way before you inject. You can inject in any fatty area, but I like to make sure I can “pinch an inch” of fat. If you pinch, you might not even feel the injection! It definitely gets easier. Have you been testing your sugar a lot? I think they say four times a day, but I test a ton more than that

@ash621 i have to test 4 times a day which i dread but its what i need to do for the baby and myself. Im just nervous i have never done this before. I only seen my mom have to do it but that was 12 years ago

@mommytobeautifulbabies, it sounds like you’re doing great 😊 it sucks for sure, but you’re taking good care of your baby!! Are they for sure making you start insulin or are they giving you more time?

@ash621 they put me on insulin. They want me to mix my insulin in the morning and idk how to
