Sooo.. I’ve tried your suggestions ladies: the toner & purple shampoo and unfortunately it’s still…

@denisah417 Absolutely you have to bleach more than once "risking frying your hair" since its already dark.

Then once its light orangish you use a lot of toner purple shampoo.

I do this back and forth on my hair all the time and currently in the salon getting it done. Prices can vary. If you went to walmart smart style GUESSING id say like 70 dollars.

@denisah417, ok...they didn’t lift your hair enough. The only way to get that color blonde is with bleach and then a cool blonde toner. You will need to go to a professional to have it done and hold on to the purple shampoo bc toners fade and it will help you keep the cool blonde your after.

@denisah417, also... it’s hard to tell from the pic but it looks like they were too heavy with the lightener and didn’t leave enough of your natural hair color running through the ends. Without that your not going to have the contrast that makes the pic so pretty. You might want to ask for lowlights in your natural color so you don’t just have solid blonde on the bottom.

@denisah417, I hope you can find someone good! Ask for a color specialist and don’t be afraid to ask for pics of their work so you can see for yourself. Hair is a talent, not just a skill, so going to school for it isn’t always enough! I’m a retired color specialist/ salon owner and trust me, there are more bad stylist than good ones out there!! The hair you showed in the picture that you wanted looks like a balayage. But your hair looks like it's been highlighted by being pulled through a cap. A balayage is expensive but worth it when done right.

@lovelily, yes I asked for the balayage. She didn’t use a cap just lifter and toner. I’m hoping I can get this fixed

@denisah417 Go back to salon and raise hell because she had no clue what she was doing. Get your money back or demand that somebody else fix it. That is most definitely a major f up.

@denisah417 to get this specific color you want it will take multiple sessions as your hair is dark. It looks like they highlighted your hair and didn't do balayage. Purple shampoo and conditioner will be your best friend for keeping the orange brassy color out of your hair. My mom's been a hair dresser\color specialist for 15 years so if you have any questions I can help. I'd also suggest a good sulfate\paraben free shampoo you can purchase some at ulta, sallys,tjmax,marshalls, or directly through your hair dresser

super late with this, but i think your hair right now looks fine. like not something you need to be embarrassed with. i however did not read the other comments really. but i did see the picture it just takes time. when i had super blonde hair.. legit was a shade of orange for like a month. just keep doing your sessions at the salon. like every 3 months if you don’t wanna damage your hair.
