posted a status asking for good pediatricians in my area on facebook and this girl commented hers for her 6 month old.. then she proceeds to post a status about how her baby is in the ER bc she’s throwing up. babies throw up. it’s a wednesday.. i’m sure your pediatricians office is open. where i live the flu is BAD. now her poor baby is not only throwing up but now exposed to the flu that’s all over the ER.. WHY DO PEOPLE GO TO THE ER FOR THINGS THEY CAN GO TO THE DOCTOR FOR ugh that irritates me sooo bad, some ppl go to the er for things that aren’t even emergencies. idk. it’s one of my pet peeves lol

Usually your own doctor wouldn't get you in for a week or so. If it's bad I'd go to the E.R and depending on what it is.

I totally agree. My drs office is huge but they always have walk in times available.

@lovely246, if her dr can’t get her in she at least needs to take her to urgent care. how i see it, if you’re not dying, don’t go to the er. especially w/ how bad the flu is. they’ve like locked down the hospital & made all types of rules up for patients bc of it😩

@mswedes, @ashleydunn, exactly! i wouldn’t even step foot in the ER right now. my mom works there & she has done so many flu swabs in the last 2 weeks it’s ridiculous. i’d only go if i was dying lbs

My pediatrician is open 7 days a week 8am to 7pm I’m so happy I have them and they get you in same day you make the time

@kartersmommyy, most urgent cares aren’t prepared the way hospitals are
But I also agree that I would not step foot in an ER unless I was truly afraid for my child’s life during flu season.

Well if she’s a first time parent she probably doesn’t know better lol first time my daughter got sick I brought her to the e.r & at her follow up the pediatrician explained to me that I could bring her in if it wasn’t an emergency

Even if my pediatrician isn't open, he said I could call him 24/7 if need be. 😂🤷🏽♀️ "if it's 3 am on Christmas morning, you can call." His words. Obviously, if it's an emergency situation, I wouldn't call. But I like how they can always be seen by their doctor.

@kartersmommyy, oh no I hate when people do that lol like damn is everything for social media 😩 they better watch her !! She sounds like the type to make the babies sick just to get some type of attention or sympathy smh
