Baby girl is tongue tied & I’m crying bc idk if I should go about getting it snipped I don’t want…

How bad is the tongue tie? If it's not that bad then it could be healed in just a couple days!

Kai is tongue tied. His Dr said unless it effects his speech or eating he is fine and doesn't need it. My niece is also and she is 16 months old and is doing well and hasn't had it snipped

I had my girl's clipped. Doc said it was the worst he'd ever seen. It was why she couldn't latch. But within a week it was healed of course she was almost too old to get it done. So the sooner you do it the better it is for them. I'm glad I got it done cause she could eat better. And seemed to actually get full. On the flip side. My mom didn't get my brothers clipped. And you only notice it on certain words. He's seventeen now.

@damiensmommy1117, @maesmommy04, she was born tiny she was only 5lbs 5oz I don’t think it’s too bad they haven’t told me yet she can stick her tongue out but not as much.. she eats good from a bottle but she doesn’t get full, the problem I guess is she can’t latch on to my breast! She wants to suck we’ve been putting her on for 10min everyday & it breaks my heart bc she has it in her mouth & she try’s so hard to stay latched😞 the lactation consultant didn’t notice it right away she was thinking she wouldn’t latch bc her mouth was too tiny & my nipples were really swollen but they finally checked yesterday & saw she was tongue tied

That's how it was for my aunt's son. He couldn't latch because of it, they got it snipped and he could latched perfectly.
