How can my mom be excited for my niece that’s pregnant again and not for me I’m confused

It just makes me a little sad that I got a lecture and my niece is about to get a whole baby shower and I’m being told I can’t have one

That don't seem right at all I would be questioning my mom about that.

She was telling me I should’ve waited to have another baby my son is about to be 2 and imma fool to have another one while I still basically have a toddler but my nieces daughter is 10 months I think and she was like ooooooh I’m excited I’m planning the baby shower I call dibs

I try not to listen to my brother when he tells me about our sister and her kids but sometimes it sounds true cause he was like you know mom adopted us so we like the step children we don’t get shown as much love as her biological kids do
