So what's the difference if my Fiancée files are daughter on his taxes? I worked 2017 but he made more money 💰 I know it's a dumb question but I only filed taxes once lol

Depending on how much you made for the year he can claim you as a dependent. I didn’t work at all in 2016 and we got a good return, I didn’t make enough for the year of 2017 so he’s going to claim the both of us again

@clairerae29, yeah! He does his taxes through turbo tax, and I believe on their website it’ll tell you about if your significant other hasn’t worked for that year and if they live with you then they can claim you. We got about $7,000 back last year because he claimed me and the baby.
