She always mentions the baby’s skin tone and how “black she’s going to be” asking me what am I going to do is she’s dark. MY DAUGHTER IS GOING TO BE 75% AFRICAN AMERICAN. WHAT THE FUCK SHOULD I BE EXPECTING HERE? Tf. how I “better make her wear weave when she’s in school if her hair is nappy”, “ that it’s stupid for me to want to put her in a private school designed for African American children, and that I shouldn’t raise her to obsess or constantly talk to her about her culture and faith... and lord for bid if my baby ever hears some “ghetto” music in her time. And this is coming from someone that’s fully white and doesn’t know shit about shit. 16 years of friendship or not, I had to cut that disrespectful shit loose.

@adensmommy2014, I’ve never dealt with anything like this from her, she’s never really said anything that came off racist to me before, but now I’m having a baby and she feels like she has everything and every opinion to say only regarding my child. I don’t know what type of shit that is. And she always says it like it’s okay, like it doesn’t bother me? I don’t know if me being part white makes her think I’m going to just sit there and chop it up and laugh and agree with her, but noooo. And I think she looks at me as if just because I’m biracial, that the fact I want my daughter to be empowered and embrace her culture is bullshit or as if I shouldn’t embrace it or even care about it myself? She just doesn’t understand it. Same thing happens when it comes to religion and when I speak about reading the Bible with her and getting her bible stories for when she starts reading. SHE JUST DOESNT GET IT.
