So I let him cry and cry and I go comfort him , is it okay if I rub his back for a few so he knows…

He will get used to it! Ryan will be crying for like 5 minutes then its silent and hes knocked out. I only check on him if he’s screaming kind of cry

I just started this with Liam. I feed him, change him, make sure he needs nothing else. When its clear hes fighting sleep, I put him in his pac n play in a spot thats quiet but where he can see me. He cries for like 10, 15, sometimes 20 minutes and then hes out. I never did this with X, and i wish i had.

He’ll get use to it! You’re doing great! Dean now will only cry for like a minute or two and is then out like a light. He actually doesn’t fight us on naps or bedtime anymore.

@mommyofxandl, awww!! Lol if he seen me i don’t think he would fall asleep to be honest ! But yes it’s a life savor def will do it with my next one

@tiffanyf, I think that’s up to you, I would say keep doing it for a little bit, but only if you feel like he really needs it.

@tiffanyf liam got to the point to where i couldn't put him down without him crying to get picked up. So sometimes he cries, sometimes he goes to sleep without a fight and sometimes he chooses to play till he falls asleep. Its working and ots only been a week

@tiffanyf, up to you but id say let him learn so youuu can get some sleep yourself! You know his different cries best

I've found its better to just let him cry. I act as if I'm not there at night if I comfort him

Or talk that just prolongs the process or makes it impossible. if he cries for to long then I do get him but typically if I let him cry first 10-20 mins he'll go back to sleep in his own. Sometimes when he first wakes up I will lay him back down when I'm up and give him a little comfort and he goes back to sleep but once I'm asleep I don't get up anymore unless he's crying awhile.
