Anybody who did taxes and have earn income and child tax did you get your taxes back? Or a date you should get them back?

Can some one help me please? My rent for in a hotel room is nearly 1800 a month for temporary accommodation, is it just me or does this not sound right, especially even when my partner doesn't even earn that much, either way there putting us in a position of more debt ant they? And couldn't we probably be in a flat for that much? :/

So my husband and I are relative fosters for his two brothers who are 12 and 14. The 14 year old pitches a fit for dip because his mama (who signed her rights over) let him dip. My husband told him no, because he dips as well (gross I know... not the point) and it gets expensive buying for two people.
