Can someone please explain to me what the point is of inducing yourself?! Let your damn baby come…

The point is if you’re far enough along and if it’s safe you can help your body begin to do what it needs to rather than having to be medically induced and being in a ton more pain than necessary

@skysmommy04, i meant with like castor oils and shit like that, lol. Obviously walking and doing natural stuff is okay but I’m referring to girls who are willing to put their bodies and babies in danger.

I never understood castor oil. I was induced in the hospital because I was a week overdue and my baby was huge and broke my pelvis when he was pushing down. BUT I worked with a girl who accidentally aborted her baby by drinking castor oil “because she was sick of being pregnant”

In fact, people who drink castor oil have a high chance of giving the baby diarrhea in the birth canal and drinking the meconium because not only does it give YOU the shits, it gives your unborn baby the shits, and dying, or by accidentally aborting them too early, and people who purposely put their baby at risk disgust me 🤷‍♀️

I'm 4 days over due😣 still haven't had inducement but I'm going to finally try today at the visit lol. She doesn't want me going to 41 or over because she thinks he's 10 pounds right now. But my friend did that caster oil shit and told me to do it😒 I told her no thanks I'd rather not harm my baby going over sucks really bad because I just want to meet him😍 but it's life 🤷🏽

@karenx3 yeah it's dangerous this is my first and I've never even thought about using that crap. I'm hoping my body will have progressed by last week but if not I think it's c section. It sortive gets me down because I wanted to go threw the experience of birth and all . But I'll still get my baby so it's okay. I also am scared for recovery and the fact other mom's bash mom's that get c section saying how they didn't even need to go threw the birthing process and it's a easy way out 😒

@zanesmama94, smh... there’s nothing wrong with c sections.. if anything, I think it’s more painful than vaginal... and the recovery is worse... there’s nothing wrong with how the baby is delivered, as long as the baby is okay is all that matters. I was induced because my baby didn’t have much fluid around him so they needed him out before he put himself in distress.. it is what it is.🤷🏻‍♀️

@karenx3 Yeah true. And I'm not sure about getting induced if it works when your not thinned or dialated any?

@zanesmama94, i was barely a 1 and they just did two doses of cervidil since I went 24 hours with dilating.
