There really are some dangers to taking castor oil and I wouldn’t recommend it. Usually your body will know when it’s time. Unless you’re me and you go 11 days past your due date and have to be induced. You can try some safe methods of inducing labor like walking a lot, light dancing, bouncing on a ball, sex.
I’ve heard a lot of negative things about castor oil, it can cause diarrhea and also I’ve read many horror stories about babies passing because a mom took a shot of castor oil to jump start labor. Personally I wouldn’t recommend it
The biggest danger is that your child can poop in the womb, ingest it and could die. Its also very laxative and could dehydrate you badly before or during labor. Not safe.
It can kill the baby, and I’ve seen it happen to someone firsthand. The child died at 2 months old from infection due to pooping in the womb from castor oil.

I recommend going to a chiropractor and getting aligned to help with labor and delivery. I don’t recommend castor oil.
