Is nursery water the only water you can use to mix baby formula?

Ive used tap, especially after six months. Before that I just used regular bottled water.

@hthomas0308, just whatever bottled water I could get my hands on. Nothing special, just made sure it was “purified” and then once he hit six months just started using water straight from the tap.

@littleonemorning, I’m mainly asking cause usually I use ready made formula but I have a can of powder and the doc wants me to try it every so often to see if he will tolerate it cause he hasn’t in the past and I don’t want to get this gallon of nursery water if I don’t need that much

@hthomas0308, I personally wouldn’t get the nursery water unless it’s doctor recommended. Filtered tap water or bottled water is perfectly safe and what I used with my son who was formula fed.

@hthomas0308, just use like deer park or something like that. They’ve all be filtered.

@hthomas0308, anything you can get is fine. It doesn’t have to be a certain brand, they are all pretty much the same to me. We usually just grab whatever is on sale.

No I use gallon drinking water as long as your water isn’t well water

I boil tap water

I use distilled water

My dr said there's no need for special water. When I supplemented I used tap.
