So we’re trying to get Matthew to sleep in his crib instead of the bassinet. In the bassinet he was going a good 5-6 hour stretches, now in the crib he’s waking up every 2-3 hours. It’s been a really long couple of days and we’re exhausted. Any advice?

I left my son in his bassinet until he could sit up. Then moved him to the pack and play in our room. Just now started putting him in his crib for naps. Starting tomorrow he will try nighttime. He is doing great taking naps in there. My only suggestion is to not rush it.

I’ve been putting him in it for naps for the past like 2 weeks and he did really good with it.

I'm sure he can sense you're not nearby, and feels insecure. I didn't move my 1st son until 4 months, second son 6 months.

@joanna.davis, maybe, but I feel like now that we’re trying to do this that it would be bad to switch him back to the bassinet

@snowkat90, we moved when my daughter was 3 months old. She went from her crib back to the bassinet since her room is on the other side of the house. Stayed in our room til 6-7 months old. Took time to transition her. Now she does great. We're going to have to do the same with the new baby. But they'll be sharing a room so hopefully it'll be better

@snowkat90, the shirt that you wore all day, try giving it to your LO at night. Your smell will be on it. Not sure if will help just a suggestion
