😞 Just came across post on another app with all these mom's having their nurseries done and ready, most by like 20-25 weeks.
I have a bassinet...that's it. We have like 3 months till little miss is due to be here.
I don't even have a room to set up for her because we have been renting our 3rd bedroom to a friend and my husband doesn't intend to talk to him about moving out yet since we kinda got pregnant quickly after deciding we were okay with it happening now and lost my job right after.
My mom wants to try to throw me a shower and is the only one to offer, so I'm hoping we get some of the "bigger ticket" useful/needed items then but I can't help but to feel way underprepared now.
I've got to declutter and rearrange our room some still to make room for the bassinet at the least since she will be sleeping in our room. Our house is kinda small and we aren't going to have a ton of room for things like a swing or playpen, even tho they are on my registry, so I honestly look forward to having the extra space that will come from having our 3rd bedroom free.
I just feel stressed and kinda like a bad mom now 😕. I'm excited and ready for this baby girl, just limited on funds and options at the moment. Don't get me wrong we do fine financially, just don't have a lot extra especially with me losing my job and not having any luck with a replacement.
Okay, rant/venting over, just needed to get that off my chest so maybe I can sleep.

Girl don't even worry. I didn't get the bassinet until I was 35 weeks and we had to get free clothes and we're lucky enough to get some free stuff from my mom's coworker literally two days before I gave birth. It doesn't make you a bad mom. As long as you have diapers, wipes, clothes and formula or breastmilk for the baby when she gets here that's all that matters.

Talk to your husband about getting a room ready for your daughter let him know it’s important to you!
A bassinet is fine for awhile ❤️
A play pen could work as a crib as well, but they also have some cheap cribs that cost just as much. Check out some retail and thrift stores near you and buy/sell and trade groups on fb for your area!! Many people have baby stuff on there they’re tryin to get rid of also you can just make a post saying you need baby stuff for a girl and I bet people will volunteer to give up baby things they can’t get rid of
Also with the de-cluttering you just gotta get trash bags an go around the entire house evaluate everything and ask yourself if you need it, if you really want it still or really use it ❤️

Do not fret Hun! Over half the stuff nowadays is not necessary to raise a dang baby. Clothes, diapers, a way to wipe their butt, food+accessories (breast milk/formula +baby food eventually), baby soap, and somewhere safe to sleep. Rest is convenance!

I bought bassinet I was 35. But I think you can check some models in shops. Because at 35 weeks it is so difficult to look for smt ....

Thanks ladies! 😊 I appreciate you all, I know things will work out and we will have what we absolutely need by the time she's here. Just seeing so many mom's completely ready with these cute little nurseries got me a bit emotional last night, and just feeling like I should be more prepared by now.
