Recently my 8 month old has been slapping and scratching our faces is this like an infant phase because I have no idea where she got this from and how do I get her to know not to be hitting people faces? If we say no she thinks we are being silly and she laughs and sometimes it’s hard to be serious lol cause they have a cute reaction 😅 help?

When my daughter does this she gets a firm no and off mommy or daddy's lap immediately...wether she cries or not then I just tell her you can't hit mommy.

My daughter still does this and has since about that age. She draws blood by scratching sometimes. We've told her no and I've even lightly tapped her fingers and she still does it. Sometimes she laughs about it and sometimes she's actually upset.
