Just curious, can anyone here guess what we received a notice for this morning? And yes you can see…

@tristan-makes-5, nope. We live on a dead end street and the snow hides the gravel patch designed for the truck to be parked on our property

Not shoveling

@badadvicemom, yup. Received it at 10:20 and it started to snow after dark last night. There was less than a quarter of an inch and only one of our neighbors “shoveled” (he swept) but we were the only ones to receive the notice

You don’t have to shovel for 24 hours after the snowfall stops

@sawyersmom, that’s what we were thinking too. And the main part that bugs us is that our neighbors didn’t get one but haven’t shoveled but we did receive the notice. Just really felt targeted for no reason

@sawyersmom, the warning itself was whatever, it was the fact that we can see from inside our house who hasn’t shoveled but their doors didn’t have the notice posted on it. I heard someone at the door and got there after he had left so it’s not like it’s been there for a few hours or anything

That seems crazy! :( is it some HOA regulation? I hate HOAs.

@jessicavillanueva92, not sure what HOA stands for but it’s small town law enforcement who won’t even serve warrants or ticket our neighbor who has no license, no insurance, and literally is not allowed to drive (and is a drunk) to hit someone’s truck at our corner who then drove home, walked back and basically said though luck to the other driver. The town itself isn’t a bad town, we just would like the cops to at least give half of a rats ass. The more I think about this, the more I think he gave us one is because if it did come down to paying the fine, we would actually do it

@emilyinsd that's seems all sorts of corrupt! 😮 A HOA is a Home Owners Association. Typically run by and encourages nosey neighbors to tattle and control how your yard, house and even drapes that can be seen from the outside of your house looks. 😂

@jessicavillanueva92, too small of a town for that lol. Plus some of our neighbors find it suitable to keep a flat bed trailer (in case you don’t know what that is, it is a flat floor on four wheels that you can pull with a truck) and throw all their junk on it, or when they mow throw everything from the yard onto it. It looks horrible and never is a just for the day thing either. We do have neighbors with nice houses as well so it is very strange on our block. So if someone wanted to clean up our neighborhood, they have much bigger fish to fry first

@emilyinsd yeah, it's usually subdivisions that have them. That just seems crazy that there's law enforcement who cares what people do to the sidewalks. Lol! Usually that's city property so it's up to them to deal with it. Our apartments we used to be in even had their maintenance guys come out and shovel snow all the way up to our doorsteps and then place salt to prevent freezing for us.
