When did you start having your baby sleep in their crib in a separate room? My daughter is starting…

I put my son in his own room at 9 months when I felt we had passed the most common age of SIDS (I’m a worrywart 😂)

@mommy.of.two, i was thinking about doing it when she gets to 6 months but I didn't think through the part of where she would sleep once she got too big for her bassinet lol what did he sleep in before that?

I’m still working on that. He has a pack and play in our room that he naps in and sleeps in at night. He can get out of it now. So we started just the other day napping in his crib in his room. We will try night time next.

When my son out grew the bassinet is when he started napping in the pack and play in our room.

@lovelucy, I had my bassinet in my room and his crib was set up in his room.

@starienite, okay thanks 🙂 I guess I'll be buying another pack and play, I want to put her in her own room but at the same time I want to have her close by because she's not going to be a baby forever lol

Don’t rush it, my son is a year old and we are just now working on putting him in his own room. Side note: he has never slept through the night so it is way easier having him in our room.

Haha. That is why he started taking naps in our room. I didn’t want to buy another pack and play. Lol.

I had to pack up my pack n play. Mine is 9m she can stand and jump in it. I skipped the toddler bed. N got bunk beds. U know you can have a rail put on them to prevent a child from rolling out. She and my 3y wake up in the middle of the night. N ends back up in my room. Its gonna take time on my end to get them to not cosleep.
