Pleeeeease do ur research. They do different things to different ppl. I had terrible experiences and would never do it again.....but its perfect for some ppl.
All my doctor said was to find out what type of birth control I wanted and they would give it to me at my 6 weeks check up , I suck at taking pills I hate shots even tho I have tattoos I hear about a patch but my doctor brought up the iud nothing about side effects tho
I have the Paraguard. No hormones in it but it does make your period a bit heavy and I've noticed my hair falling out a lot more lol But I've had it since April and definitely not pregnant.
The only thing that freaks me out I know 2 people who had the iud and keep miscarring has anyone else hear something like this? We do want more down the road
And yes Krystal. I audit medical records for a living. The recurrent miscarriages and sterility happens a LOT with those things. So does emergency surgeries for them actually going through the wall of your uterus and floating around in your abdomen. Some people swear by them but like I said, I would NEVER get one due to the medical records I’ve seen. Nooope.
The arm implant works decently well. Draw-backs are irregular periods and sometimes it can migrate beyond your muscle requiring (minor) surgical removal. Some women also report being able to feel it and saying it’s uncomfortable. The depo shot works well for some women but can also make getting pregnant again much more difficult. My go-to is the trusty old pill. I have an alarm set on my phone at the same time every night to take it so I don’t forget it. Otherwise things like a cervical sponge and condoms are classics as well.
Get anything but the IUD. I had one when my 2nd was born. I gained soo much weigh and was unable to lose a single lbs...i just kept going up. I finally decided to have it removed after 4 years. Not only did i lost all the weight i gained, but I came to find the iud gave me Polycystic ovary syndrome on my left ovary. Theres no cure for this and over time it can make you sterile....because of this its even harder for me to get pregnant, and i have so many complications during my pregnancies after the iud. I have heard so many cases similar to mine and they had the iud too.
@krystalracine1217 yes, i lost my babygirl at 19 weeks. I really dont recommend the iud to anyone. I cant even belive i got this...wish someone would have told me more about it

I had the Skyla IUD after my daughter was born. I’m now pregnant with my second baby because the iud failed.

Look up how it actually works and what exactly it does to “prevent” pregnancy. I would never, ever, ever use it.
