Currently getting bitched at by our landlord because we bought our own heater instead of using the gas. Apparently the wires throughout the apartment complex are not high grade.. so it’s causing the wires within the walls to overheat🙃 I’m so done with this place. I should contact OSHA and tell them how terrible these complexes are..

OSHA is job safety, not living. Also, most leases you sign agree to not having space heaters. It can cause a fire and most insurance company's won't cover a fire caused by them.

@brownsugarluv beat bet would actually be the housing authority. Electricity is a housing code, not a fire code per say.

Fire inspector would be for things like smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, emergency exits incase of a fire

@badadvicemom, I looked over the lease and it doesn’t say anything not being allowed to have heaters . Our landord assumed we had one of those old school heaters that are open

The housing authority here only deals with people in their housing programs. (Section 8, sub housing etc) Ultimately your going to need an electrician to perform an inspection to be able to provide a report.
