i’m not sure if it’s the same but my husband works and i applied for food stamps to help out with saving money for the bills and what not because he makes enough for literally JUST the bills and i qualified.
@ajs_mommy well from what i read online concurrent retirement disability pay (crdp) is va disability pay but in can't find anything about whether we include that as income or not and if it will effect anything because he is disabled
@dianne1211, if anything you can always just call and ask to speak to someone or what i was told to do was apply and see what happens. because as prideful as i can be sometimes it really helps having it. i even got WIC too and that saves like $20+ in milk, eggs, and bread.
Yes, they count that as income and they will go how much you pay rent as well and whatever you guys make together and how much the rent, power, and whatever else you guys pay for and then they will tell you how much you will be getting every month.

@jhndms if my husband is a military veteran and receives concurrent retirement disability pay, do we count that as income or not?

@dianne1211, agreed. and my food stamps and wic don’t even last me the full month and i try to get meals and everything. it’s so frustrating.
