Anyone else have a home fetal heart rate doppler? How many weeks were you when you could pick up…

I got mine around 12weeks I believe

@badadvicemom I'm going to try again maybe tonight. Surely it can be picked up even by a home device. But he could be farther back that could make it harder.

@leangocrazy @gennbby apps like that use the phones microphone. It picks up any noise, even no noise at all and creates a beat. It's no different than if you stuck a regular microphone like you would use on stage to your belly. It wil just pick up the static from surrounding noises or slights movement against skin. It can't pick up anything through the layers of skin, muscle, fat, and then the amniotic fluid to the baby. You need ultrasound sound waves to get through all of that and then detect the change in the frequency of the sound waves. The echo is sent back to the device which the device translates into the heartbeat sound you hear.

@gennbby, yes it does you can put it over your own heart to try it out do u know the difference between outside sound and the heart and as long as your 30 weeks plus it will work fine

But you have to be some where it’s silent like laying down in bed
