Please tell me if I am over exaggerating.. My SO is a cheapskate at its finest, he literally doesn’t want to spend money on anything (unless it’s for him of course). We agreed that if I’d be getting my anatomy scan between 16-18 weeks we wouldn’t go pay to find out gender for our reveal at a private place, however if it was going to be another 4+ weeks we would definitely consider it. My family has offered to cover the full WHOPPING 60$ and yesterday I told him it was going to be another 4-6 weeks so we should book the appointment. He tried to say it was a waste of money and shit like that (he just went and paid to shoot a DEER for $1600). So eventually he reluctantly said just go ahead and book it, and I did. Then I said we needed to plan when we would do this reveal. Obviously not this weekend because of Christmas, but I suggested next weekend on Saturday. He pretty much tried to make every excuse possible and argue with me for hours, then finally says whatever you want to do. So I’m sitting here stressing the importance of PLANNING this, as in asking his parents about specifically doing it that day, and he just expects me to do everything. I’m so sick of dealing with this shit, I told him I don’t even care anymore, I will just find out Friday and be done with it because this is RIDICULOUS! Pregnancy should be a happy time, and throwing this reveal should be exciting! But it is the complete opposite with him, I know I will regret not doing one, but he’s seriously driving me to the point of just giving up on the idea.
