Welp my son got kicked out of daycare on only his 2nd day. Idk what I'm going to do with him

How?? I was the lead teacher at a daycare here for ages 18 months- 2.5 years, and we *had* to give warning after warning, have parent meetings with the director, etc before ever considering telling a parent their child can't return. And it had to be a big reason, like they were a danger to others or something. Who the hell doesn't understand that toddlers require all those second and third and fourth chances? Do they wanna help them learn and fix the problem or do they just want the "easy" kids??

Sorry for the rant, lol. I just think two days is nowhere near enough time to decide if a child can behave better. And if they're gonna give up on kids that fast, it can't be that great of a place.

@magickal_mama1418 Idk I'm new to this whole daycare thing myself but he threatened to blow up the school and also threatened the kids and teachers and was cussing at them

@twice_blessed well, that is something they have to take seriously. But they should've offered you resources on how to handle it or get him help (counseling) if he needs it. @magickal_mama1418 Ty he's already on meds and sees a phsycologist. I'm hoping a brain scan will shed some light on what's possibly wrong.

Are you kidding...he's 5 😒 he shouldn't be taken so seriously about that stuff. They don't sound like professionals to be taking care of your son anyway.

Daycare is hard. Maybe you can find a skilled caregiver instead

@chelli oh he got one when he got home and he's stuck in his room until tomorrow but it really doesn't do much good with him unfortunately

@raquely He's really far behind. I've tried getting him tested but his doctor just sent him to a phsycologist that only put him on meds. I'm so frustrated with the doctors here. I've been afraid to put him in school or daycare for this reason. He has meltdowns too
