This was definitely not expected! I was supposed to be induced on Wednesday, yesterday I had my appt at 1 and I was barely 1 cm, I asked my NP if there was any chance of her coming before Wednesday, my induction date, she said anything was possible, but she would be surprised if I didn’t have to be induced, then around 3:30 the contractions started to kick in so I took some Tylenol extra strength, that didn’t help; the pain just kept coming, to the point where I was getting no relief around 6:30 so my mom picked me up and brought me in, the nurse checked me for dilation and was like well it’s get an epidural ready, I was 5 almost 6 cm dilated! So we were both so excited and relieved, then I could feel my water start to break but then nurses started rushing in super quick, her heart rate was dropping 😓 so they started an IV, the doctor checked for dilation, then water gushed out but it was mixed with meconium 😓😓 so they explained I needed a emergency c-section rushed me to the OR, then put me under for it, I had a breathing tube and everything, but woke up at 11:00ish with them telling me she was alive and healthy, she’s just been having low blood sugars so she’s in the nursery now ❤️😇
