What is minimum wage where you live?

Wow that really sucks, Im sorry mama!! I know how it feels, i use to bus and waitresses dont make much as it is... People are just rude. You always tip your waitresses good, especially pregnant!!!

@believeinbuddha waitresses don't even get minimum wage, in nj they make like $2 an hour..

@believeinbuddha, minimum wage where i live is $8.25 but since i’m a waitress i only make $4.95 plus tips

Isn't $43 in five hours good if the minimum wage is $8.25 where you live? That's more than the minimum wage workers would make then

People really leave that little of a tip? That's insane. Yesterday my husband and I went to lunch, and I did know the waitress as a former employee of mine, but the total was 26 and I tipped her 25.. My average tip is 10-20. I love tipping and making someone's day.

@xaviers.mama118, i have another job that pays me more, i just serve on the weekends. hopefully Christmas is my last day of serving! then once i come back from leave i’m gonna find a better job lol

@mikailahandbaby, in comparison it is good, but when all the girls you’re working with are making $100-$250 in a shift & you leave w/ $43.. it just kinda sucks 😩

@kartersmommyy that really sucks! I'm so thankful my husband and I are like minded when it comes to tipping. I think it's important when they are good servers to let them know. I know that shit ain't easy! The only places in tip 2-3 are like places where they don't actually serve you, but there is a line for a tip and they were chill taking my order lol I wish you better tippers in your future!

@halifax6, thank you! i just wish people would understand servers literally live off tips, like our paychecks are soooo small, tips are what we need to survive! lol
