I would start with the crib unless you have a super easy going kid who can sleep anywhere.

I guess it would depend on ur child he could be excited about a new bed or he could be scared and would like to have his bed I'd say keep the crib just incase snd u could try the toddler bed my son was so happy to finally get his toddler bed but it's been 2 nights and he still hasn't sleeped in it

Maybe crib with the rail off converted to toddler bed? Or with one of those white practice rails on the side. I keep wondering if this will make the transition to toddler bed easier for my son

@badadvicemom, @dazzlingmommy, @toshagager1988, @heidi3581, thanks! He's weird. He'll sleep in hotel rooms fine, now, but won't at his his grandparents. I think we'll stick with the crib, and see how that goes!

@nomli good luck I know with my older kids they were so excited with their new beds my son was transitioned at 13 months I wanted to do it a couple months before his sis came so that he didn't get mad but he loved cars so we got him a cars bed and bedding

@toshagager1988, thanks! Haha, I don't think he'd get excited about it yet, but he's pretty tall and has started experimenting with climbing. I catch him with his foot on the baby gate straining to pull with his arms, so I'd rather switch him before he realizes he can climb out of the crib.
