so at my first job (the restaurant) we are getting a new general manager (our temp general manager didn’t wanna take the official gm job bc it sucks ass) so our district manager just announced who the new gm is gonna he who starts the 21st. apparently this dude is old asl, has 2 traffic felonies, a felony conviction for theft, the last 2 restaurants he managed shut down, & he got fired at his last job for shaving tips from servers. 🙄 & this is all public record so i know it’s not bs & the fact that my job is a felon friendly hiring place just makes it even more believable 😩 if you’re a felon ok cool whatever but WHY THE FCK WOULD YOU HIRE SOMEONE AS THE GM WHO HAS A FELONY FOR THEFT?! 🤦🏻♀️ looks like imma have only one job when i get back from maternity leave

@sassymom, Denny’s, literally no one is happy about it 🤦🏻♀️ none of the workers, none of the managers.. but it’s the district manager’s decision so we can’t do anything about her poor judgement in people

@kartersmommyy That's completely insane, but seeing what company it is doesn't completely surprise me. One of the reasons I left Applebee's was because of the shady things some of the managers were doing...like voiding large checks that were paid in cash, and using that cash to pay the cooks to finish cleaning off the clock. That way they didn't have to explain any overtime 😒

@sassymom, yeah i hate all the shady stuff that goes on. it’s kinda hard to take it as a serious work place.
