When do you even start potty training a boy? My son isn’t really talking much but he’s very smart…

We are actively trying after Christmas we let our son sit from time to time

@mommysbabies, yeah I’m wondering when i should get the potty seat from my friend to like show him

Anytime we have had ours for almost a year

My son was fully potty trained at 18months. I would say after the holiday I would probably see what he thinks of it..

My boys ran naked and learned now they 2 and three they stand up to pee I let Daddy pee while they took baths that taught them and they are potty trained now

@owlylove4, i don’t think he’s gonna be fully potty trained by the time the baby is here but I’d like to start once the new year is here to try and see how he does ! But thanks

So I would get it from your friend and maybe when you go to the bathroom just have him sit on the potty so he gets use to it.. and maybe you will luck out and he will take to it easy

Depend on the child IMO, my oldest was potty trained by 2 1/2 and my youngest son has been showing interest saying "I go potty" and pointing at himself he'll even set everything he needs up to do it but won't do anything once he's on the toilet. He will let you know when he's ready and you'll know what he's trying to tell you just keep recognizing it and let him play it out until it happens!
