Just a little rant:
Yes my house is usually messy. There are toys EVERYWHERE! There’s is laundry that needs to be done and put away. There are dishes in the sink that need to be washed. I can’t tell you the last time I had something organized for more than a few days. But let me tell you what I can remember. I can remember every time my child has made me giggle. Every time she has learned something new. Every time we have cried together. I’m not one of those moms that has to have her house clean all of the time (no I’m not saying you’re a bad mom if you are. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that) but I’m okay with some dirty dishes and my clothes sitting in the dryer a little longer and here’s why. I would rather cuddle with my sweet baby than to miss that sweet moment. I would rather tickle her and listen to her little giggle than to worry about the chores that need to be done. I would rather let her make a mess and watch her play with her food than to continually try to wipe it up. I would rather let her soak my clothes while she’s splashing away in the bath tub than to take away the smile on her face by not giving her the time to play. Now, I’m not trying to say that my method of mommy-hood is any better that anyone else. I know some moms who need to have their house spotless in order to feel sane. I know some moms that have to work in order to pay for the things they need or just because she needs that little time to be herself and be out of the house. I also know some moms that their house is a mess and they’re frustrated and stressed to the max. We are all good mothers. The questions I ask myself daily to reassure myself on my mothering is : 1. Is my child healthy? 2. Is she happy? 3. Is she fed good? 4. Does she have what she needs? 5. Did I make her smile at least once? 6. Did I do my best today? Those are just my questions that I need to answer. You can have any question you want or you can have none at all. But I know by answering these questions everyday I feel like I have done my best. Some days I feel like I’m at my wits end. Other days I’m on cloud nine. Either way I know I’m a mother and if I may say so myself.. I’m a damn good mother. Us moms don’t get half of the recognition that we deserve. I do my best and I love my child whole heartedly and that’s all that really matters. The state that my house is in should not matter (unless it’s unsafe) and the fact that I choose to mother differently, cause let’s face it none of us actually mother our children the same ways, should not matter. Instead of hearing all the things that I should be doing or anything of that sort, I’d so much rather hear that I’m doing a good job and someone is proud of me.

I agree with you 1000% we shouldn't be labeled bad mother just because our house isn't spotless!
