I swear it was so much easier fixing Zaid's nights and days. It's been a week and Hamza is still staying up for playtime at night. I'm forcefully trying to wake him in the day regularly every 2-3 hours and he's struggling to stay awake during daytime wake sessions. But at night it's all systems go. And Zaid decided yd morning he needs me not daddy, and I powered through thinking I'm going to have to do it next week when he goes back to work anyway, and now I regret it. Overtired.

I think its always harder with your second baby, not only are you having to care for 2 children but you constantly compare your second to your first. Its hard work.
Hamza is still very little so eventually he will settle. Maeve was exactly the same. I struggled to keep her awake during the day and then she'd want to be partying all night! It took until she was about 4 weeks to settle into a routine and now at 8 weeks she is sleeping through. Dont worry, you will get there. You've got this 💪

@kayteamay Guilty of the comparing definitely. Luckily for the most part the comparison has been - ooh wasn't Zaid a lot harder. Lol. But yes I think more than anything I'm worried about hubs going back to work and being crazy sleep deprived looking after Zaid. Just the fear of it has me up at night staring at my newborn. We'll get there defo. Thank you for the support!

My husband could only take 1week off and I remember feeling very overwhelmed with the thought of having 2 by myself. But you'll be fine! I never implemented a routine with Morgan for a long time but with Max by 7weeks I'd had enough of late nights so started one with him. We both needed it!

@sara-lou86 Zaid had bad reflux issues until weaning so slept quite badly till we sleep trained. So I'm trying hard with Hamza to do everything "right" but Its hard, with baby's you don't see the fruits of labour for a while, need to keep reminding myself the hard part is temporary.
