He’s been gone 8 hours and hardly spoken to me. Guess he doesn’t want to fix this. Going to bed cause my whole weekend was ruined. It was supposed to be a good one.

My hubby and I can go a day or two barely talking when we are mad at each other. We both believe that you should bring up the issue once you’ve calmed down and had time to think about it. Not going to go into my details but last year we had a major relationship issue and sleeping in separate rooms. What we ended up doing is writing long notes to each other. What this does is allow each of us to get our complete thoughts out without being interrupted. We never read or wrote in front of the other person either so we felt like we could be more open. You have to keep name calling out and words that are meant to just be hurtful (basically a different form of name calling). Don’t pressure the other person to read/write at a certain time because if they care at all, they will do it in their own time. It took us a whole week just to be able to talk face to face about things. (Like I said, huge issue that I won’t get into). I’m a firm believer that if BOTH people work to make things work, then it will work out with given time. It is when one or both aren’t truly trying their best that things crumble and stay crumbled

@emilyinsd, thank you. I’m trying to be understanding and let him work out his issues but it’s difficult

You can vent to me since I can’t go and blab to people you know. That was the hardest part for me last year. I’m not on here 24/7 so my responses will probably be hours apart. And I do have a few more tips on how I feel my hubby and I have been together almost 6 years

@bebefever94, it can be difficult to wait and not be pressuring him to hurry up. Whatever the issue is, it can be compared to an addiction (doesn’t have to be drugs, it could be like having an addiction to biting your nails or something). It is difficult for it to change over night. They have to be willing to change and when they reach that point on their own, that’s when you can step in and show support (like with the biting of the nails you can get manicures and make compliments on how good their nails look). Sometimes you can work on different issues together (like with my hubby and I, he leaves his cloths everywhere and I tend to let things pile up around my chair. We can work together on our own issues). I know a lot of this sounds strange but right now I can’t think of another way to describe it

@emilyinsd, no he’s mad because I suggested he sell his non running rusted out truck because it costed too much to fix and only had a front seat no place to put baby. He agreed but now it’s gone and he’s throwing a tantrum but I guess the bad guy. At least that’s how he acts apparently I forced him and he resents me

@bebefever94, I’d go to him and say, “you clearly have some attachment to this truck, can you explain to me what it is so I can understand what you are feeling? And then listen and go from there

@emilyinsd, yeah I did and I know why he loves the truck so much but he’s we really didn’t have a choice because of money but he’s blaming me for it being gone. I just have to take it

@bebefever94, if everything is done, then I’d just let him stew and not let him push you around too much about it
