I don't necesarrily have a budget. I just buy whatever toys that I know or think she'll like lol. Then I also get her more clothes, shoes, hair accessories, books, stocking stuffers, etc.
@twins1987, i spent $170 on my son and i think im done with him. Is it bad if i don’t buy as much for my daughter? Its because she’s so small and i already have what she needs.
I usually do, but this year, I'm not. I told everyone that I was focusing on preparing for the new baby, not gift giving. They understood. There really is no set price you have to spend on your kid though. You could spend 20 dollars at dollar tree or make homemade gifts. It wouldn't make you any better or worse than a mom who spent $500 on a child. Get him whatever you can or want. 🙂
My daughter is 18 months and she is getting 3 things from my husband and I. A big thing, small thing and an outfit. She is too little to know otherwise and we got her a toy, and something non toy and then something to wear. We try to do the 4 thing rule. Something she wants, needs, read and wear. But since she is so little we only did the 3 this year next year will be different.
