I’ve had to do the same. When you put him on child support the paperwork will take MONTHS so don’t worry. If you can put yourself at a different address than him & say you don’t know where he lives 🤷🏼‍♀️ if they find his address they will designate an amount for him to pay but at the end of the day that money will be coming back to the same household. While your at it apply for cash assistance so you can apply for ELC childcare they pay the MAJORITY of the weekly fees for daycare if you’re not making anything at the moment your weekly parent fee will be so low, my parent fee a week is a $1.20 on top of what the day care charges outside of ELC fees which is 17$ a week that’s $18 dollars a week. Definitely beats paying $170+ a week. Sometimes as a mom you have to do what you have to to take care of your babies. That’s how I see it. Once your paychecks start coming in you’ll only need to show your pay stubs to welfare weekly/biweekly to stay in compliance and keep your childcare and foodstamps. It is definitely worth it Girl, just do some research and ask questions!
