Who buys the grooms wedding ring? The bride or the best man/maid of honor... im pretty sure the bride does right? What am I missing .. we have been chosen to be witnesses to our friends civil wedding but he says the witnesses buy his ring? 🤔

Hahah, he’s an idiot. The couple getting married buys the ring. When my husband was going to propose to me, he went ahead and bought my wedding set AND his since it was about $2100 cheaper to buy it all at once.
The ONLY thing a witness has to do is sign the marriage license.

Gotta agree with the other posters, the groom’s ring is usually picked out by the bride or bought together by the couple. At least in the US, maybe it’s a custom from another culture?

The bride buy the ring. Best man pays the officiant. Maid of honor pays for random shit in the wedding but mostly she helps with everything free labor type stuff.
