Hey mommas if you are on housing how long after yalls appointment where you take in birth certificates socials IDs etc did yall get accepted?
I heard months then i heard 2 weeks.

It all depends. If you have a job for more than a year you automatically get bumped up higher on the waiting list. If you don't have a job it puts you lower on the waiting list. A month after turning all your paperwork in call them and check up on your app

@ppb14pj16 Because whenever you have a job they make you pay a percentage of the rent. They would rather place families in housing that can pay a percentage other than place family in housing that can't pay anything. It's upsetting because some families really need it with no income but alot of people abuse the system, live rent free and take advantage of that.

@ppb14pj16 Me too girl! I wish you luck! Try not to stress about it and just make sure to call them after a few weeks to a month or so to check up on your app!

@tayler im trying not to but its so hard after almost 5yrs of waiting ill probably be finally getting housing and my own place. I cant take it where i leave rn. On my letter it says they will lmk if i qualify the time of the appointment. So hopefully i do and hear something good tomorrow. Im panicing bad but my mom told me to calm down.
