Is it normal for my nearly two year old to cry when taking a nap or sleeping alone? He just wouldn't go to sleep knowing I'm not there or wake up crying for me :/ I don't know what to do i want him to sleep alone nd eventually in his own room ALONE bcz we havnt slept toghether as a couple since my second baby bcz it's not practical to sleep as a family imcase one of them wakes one up at night hence I'm breastfeeding still. I really want a the transition to toddler bed or at least the crying after waking up needs to stop I know he's still a baby but I want to make him brave enough to sleep alone nd how do I do that when he can't understand share ur experiences plz :)

@arfabhatti11, hi hun, my little girl has been in her own bed and her own room since she was 1 so didn't really kick of to much but recently has been crying when we're putting her down and we worked out that she's actually getting afraid of the dark, so we tell her that we'll leave the light on and we normally leave the landing light on with her door slightly open. You could also try a night light which makes music and projects pictures we had one to start with but she said she didn't want it on anymore 😂 if we turn the light of now she'll scream and cry till it goes back on so we definitely know she's afraid of the dark. Give it a try hun 👍 you might have to let him scream it out xx
